SEO Strategy

An SEO strategy should be at the chore of any website. Whether you are selling a product or service, or wanting to build an audience through art, music, recipes, poetry, science or just through blogs, you might want people to be able to find you easily online.

For instance, when developing my portfolio website, I took it into heart only to install plugins and optimisation engines previously tested while building other clients sites. A strategy not only involves the distinct technical aspects but also conjugates the speed of the site with the effectiveness of specific keywords that would help the website to rank much higher in the main search engines such as Google, Bing, Yahoo and Alexa. Although achieving SEO is best to keep as an organic process that takes action gradually, there are some patterns and technologies which we can use to set these movements in place so that time can consolidate these into better rankings.

First, there were the words: SEO Strategy…

Good SEO Strategy: Choose the right words to help search engines locate your content.

My strategy uses the tools available through the Google platform of applications made readily to us through our personal Gmail account. We can use this to link google services and social media through API integrations to our WordPress dashboard and Elementor, Math Rank and Analytify – Google Analytics dashboards. We can also use specific, powerful plugins to attain search ranking and sitemaps by using search engine plugins like Math Rank, the SEO plugin used in this case study.

Meet the SEO plugins!

Google XML Sitemaps – Aids SEO using sitemaps for the most accurate indexation by search engines like Yahoo, Bing, Alexa and Google, among others.

Analytify – Google Analytics Dashboard – An Avant-Garde warm approach to Google Analytics, this plugin integrates with the WordPress Dashboard in a very intuitive UI never seen before which fully understandable and aesthetically pleasing. It populates statistic areas in a compact manner under the WordPress Posts/Pages at the front end, backend and in its own Dashboard. It also gives the developer other priceless data such as Statistics in RealTime from Social media, General stats, Country, Referrers, New and Returning visitors, Browser and Exit pages.

Rank Math SEO – Is a complete SEO plugin that has similar features of many SEO tools combined into one. It lets us quantify traffic in the most approachable manner. Apart from aiding at getting the science of Top keywords fantastically right, it’s excellent at helping you to score close to a 100 ranking per page or post. Its UI spreads at the front end as well as the back end and the word press dashboard. It has very powerful and easy to set integrations with search engines as well as social media.

The meat and potatoes of any SEO strategy, using Math Rank we can view and manage how we can better execute the best choice of keywords:

Meet the word press optimisation plugins!

Short Pixel Image Optimiser – This plugin reduces the size of our images without compromising viewing qualities across different screens.

Auto Optimize – Helps to get the website faster by allowing you to customise how CSS and Javascript load on the page, its a great addition to work with Wp-Optimize.

WP-Optimize – makes sites fast as well as Auto Optimize but gives developers more options such as compressing images and cached pages as well as cleaning the database. It’s great for attracting traffic.

A simple SEO Strategy

The first task is to set and activate a Google account to integrate core each search integration which include adding our domain to the Google Search Console and verifying it. For this, we create a project for our domain in the console to generate a code which is we paste as text into the Zone Records in the domain’s C panel, then the Goggle consoles verify the domain name, and we are all set up on Google. We can also use Analitify to integrate the Google Analitycs console right on the dashboard of the website in real-time. We can use XML Site Maps to manage our site maps which can then be verified by different engines such as Google, Bing or Yahoo, to mention a few. We can do this while setting up our SEO optimising plugin, which is Rank Math. Also, it has been integrated to Social Media so people can comment on blogs using their Facebook or Linkedin accounts, which generates new content and attracts crawlers to index the site, this traffic helps the site to rank better in SEO. I have used some images for blogs using my professional FreePik account which I have rights to use.

Finally to the meat and potatoes of SEO, using Math Rank we can view and manage how we can better execute the best choice of keyword their focus and content and see our numbers go up in real-time right on the WordPress blog or page Gutenberg editor, this makes it efficient and user friendly to get more out of our time and far more pleasant time while developing any website.

The last step after the last touches and before going to launch is to optimise the website. By now we would have ensured to optimise our images so a word of warning before running the optimisation plugins, you must always back up the site :-), check if everything is still working after the optimisation and have a happy launch!

For plugins, please have a read on my WP Plugins Choice post. 🙂
